EDGE IN THE CLOUD is looking for an energetic and passionate General Counsel to join our growing team!

Salary starting at $150,000+ DOE and a lucrative bonus incentive!

A Day in the Life:

• Serve as the primary employment law contact which includes advising leaders about employment and labor law issues including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, ADA/FMLA, noncompete/trade secrets and breach of contract
• Provide legal advice to ensure strong compliance culture is maintained
• Reviews, researches, interprets, and prepares both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues
• Drafts, reviews, and approves policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws, and other legal documents
• Provide guidance on the rapidly changing legal landscape that affects employment laws for a multi-state employer; considering federal, state, and local laws
• Monitor the legislative environment for changes in laws that may impact the functionality of the business
• Manage, maintain, and pursue, including managing necessary qualifications for all firm licenses required to conduct business across all jurisdictions
• Identify and anticipate employment law risks in the business and technology and propose solutions to mitigate future risk
• Provide employment law advice regarding and directing internal investigations
• Handle pre-litigation and agency charges by engaging with opposing counsel to seek possible resolution and support the business in navigating pre-litigation
• You will identify and engage appropriate stakeholders to escalate issues, using written and oral communications skills to articulate recommendations and provide options on complex legal issues

You Proudly Possess:

• Law Degree and license to practice in the US
• Completion of a Legal Apprenticeship or Juris Doctorate
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a practicing attorney or equivalent practice of law in employment and labor law or related fields
• Excellent analytical and written skills, with the ability to identify problems and develop solutions
• Ability to manage details while maintaining a strategic view; work effectively with ambiguity and change
• Experience working with a geographically diverse team across multiple time zones
• Understanding of how to partner and collaborate cross functionality to balance risks with business objectives
• Experience advising clients on employment and labor law matters
• Experience litigating employment law matters, responding to demand letters and/or agency charges
